[Users-list] MetaSite Installation Error: unable to find network card

Dear all,

I'd like to install MetaSite program on my computer.
In order to obtain the code for the license key, I run the installer and
then I tried to launch metasite to
get the code, but I got this error message:

License error: unable to find network card

I don't know the reason of this error since that my computer is properly
configured.
My OS is Ubuntu 6.06 with kernel 2.6.15-29-amd64-generic.
I installed MetaSite on both 64 and 32 bit environments (via chroot),
satisfying all lib dependencies, but I got the
same error.

I have a lan connection (on eth1) and a vpn connection (on ppp0).

Can anyone help me?
