[Users-list] Where do I paste the license key?

I received my license key lately, and I wanted to try grid, but after  
pasting the license key verbatim (copy, paste...) in the licence  
file, I still get
ERROR: license file not found, please re-install the program

I pasted it as a first line in the license file... Just before the ##  
GRID LICENCE FILE ##### line...

Any hint about where I should past the key will be welcome...
