Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a new user to Grid. I just installed the downloaded GRID software to
my PC with window 2000, get it installed in the path C:/Program
Files/GRID22b/. I also copied the right license to the file "license"
accordinly.
When I do the GRID tutorial according to the manual, I got the GRID ERROR
everytime I ran the software. I read the subsribed archive in the web, it
seems to be the problem of Grid path and grub.dat file in the File-->Set
Option. So, I check it again, but it seems to be correct to me. They are:
GRID PATH: C:\Program Files\GRID22b\
GRUB FILE: C:\Program Files\GRID22b\Grub.dat
Did I still do something wrong here? Could you please kindly teach me how
to solve this problem? I noted something interesting, but I don't know if it
is related. I found whenever, I double click the GRID.exe in the C:\Program
Files\GRID22b\. A black screen flash once, and disappear quickly. Is it
normal?
I also noted that when I try to open the GVIEW, occasionly, the whole screen
will be freezed. It doesn't happened in GREATER. Everytime I face this
problem, I have to reboot the PC again. Did the similar problem happened
before? How did you solve the problem?
Best regards and many thanks in advanced.
PATD
