| List of file types for GRID | |
| ASCII. | An eye-readable printed file. |
| BINARY | A file readable by computer but not by eye. |
| .CHE | An input file for Oxford Molecular's Chem_X |
| .CNT | A binary input file for TRIPOS' SYBYL or CoMFA. |
| FILE.LIST | A list of file names without extensions. |
| .GRD | An input file for MSI's INSIGHT |
| GREAT.LIST | A list of file names with extensions like .PDB |
| GRIDKONT | A standard Grid map produced as a binary file. |
| GRIDKONT.DAT | A standard Grid map produced as a binary file. |
| .KONT | A standard Grid map produced as a binary file. |
| .MINI | A shortened binary GRIDKONT file (input for GROUP). |
| .MINIMA | A list of the energy minima in a Grid map. |
